How to avoid the worst of the winter storm season
The next big winter storm is coming this week, and it’s going to bring some severe weather to the Northeast.
But if you’re heading to a major New England city, there’s a good chance you’ll be staying home.
The storm is expected to dump as much as 3 inches of snow across parts of the Northeast on Friday and Saturday.
The snow is expected by early Saturday morning to cover most of the region, which could put New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C. in the snow.
The National Weather Service has issued the following snowfall totals for parts of New England:Boston, MA: 8 inchesThe Boston area has seen an average of 3 inches in the last three weeks.
But as the storm approaches, that could increase to as much 8 inches or more.
In Connecticut, where the forecast is a lot more favorable, snowfall could top 10 inches.
In New York, there could be a lot of snow on the ground.
A storm watch has been issued for New York State, Connecticut, New Jersey and Delaware.
It could last until early Saturday.
In the Northeast, the storm could bring some milder weather in the first week of March.
Temperatures will fall in the mid- to upper-40s and precipitation could be light.
